HISPANIC MINISTRY (CASA AMISTAD) - Touching and affecting the lives of the Hispanic Community in the Washington, DC area is our focus. To cause the minority race of believers to feel comfortable as they worship with us in a multi-cultural atsomphere, as we provide simultaneous translation in every service.

HOSPITAL/BEREAVEMENT MINISTRY - Godly compassion is a requirement for those serving in this ministry. Teams respond promptly with an anointing and spirit of excellence to the needs of those in our congregaton that experience the loss of a loved one. Widows and Orphans are not forgotten as they are ministered to as well. Qualified ministers are available and trained to serve the membership of Scripture Cathedral. Prayer support, comfort and visitation are provided for members who are hospitalized and/or convalescing.

NURSES/MEDICAL MINISTRY - Members, who are Medical Professionals volunteer their time to serve the Church. They maintain a presence during services and events in case of medical emergencies. Scheduled screenings are held for church members and residents of the community as well as education on health related issues. The Medical Ministry also provides services, consultations and assistance to the membership.

MINISTERIAL AFFAIRS - The Ministerial Department has been established to provide support to our leader in upholding and carrying out the Pastor's vision given to him by God, to under gird the membership with love and care, ministry and prayer and to serve the local body and community in conjunction with existing Scripture Cathedral programs. The Ministerial Affairs Department also handles the licensing done under the covering of the Scripture Cathedral, as well as the transferral of credentials.

MEN'S MINISTRY (21 years of age and up) - This army of mighty men are purposed to set up discipleship programs to include men's Bible study groups, prayer groups and various other spiritual growth initiatives; develop and implement workshops to assist men in becoming spiritually, economically, and financially empowered, increase men in joining and working in other ministries within the church, build a strong bridge between the Scripture Cathedral youth and our men; leverage all of the resources and expertise with the Men's Ministry membership to manifest the successful launching of a multicultural army of New Testament believing men to go into the enemy's camp and take back what he stole from us.

MUSIC AND FINE ARTS - The Music Ministry of the Scripture Cathedral is an awesome body of believers who have answered the clarion call to Music Ministry. These group of psalmists, musicians, and worship leaders have dedicated their lives to ushering God's people beyond the veil into the presence of His Majesty. The Music Department is comprised of these entities: Pastor's Choir, Cathedral Choir, Television Choir, Brother's Chorus, Praise Team, Praise Dancers, and Praise Angels.

PROFESSIONAL MINISTRY TECHNICIANS (USHERS)  - The purpose and function of the Usher's Ministry is to meet, greet, and seat the parishioners as they enter the sanctuary. The Usher's Ministry is the extension of God's hands to the people. The Ministry of Ushering is a personal relationship of Jesus Christ that meets individuals on a person-to-person basis upon their arrival at Scripture Cathedral. The ushers serve as watchmen, servants, disciplinarians and host, just to name a few characteristics and duties of the usher.

WOMAN TO WOMAN MINISTRY - Woman to Woman Ministries crosses economic status, education, religious, age, and racial lines to get to the heart of the matter. Although we are different individually, collectively we are one in the spirit. Woman to Woman, Sister to Sister, Heart to Heart, we have been invoked into the presence of a healing God. We are laboring together to bring fruition and wholeness in our lives and in the lives of those who encounter us. WTW has benefited the ministry by providing the women of Scripture Cathedral a time of enrichment in our spiritual lives, as well as practical applications. This has been accomplished through the fireside chats, and in the individual ministry meeting that fall under the umbrella of the WTW ministry.

EVANGELISM - These volunteers are trained to evangelize in Washington, DC & MD, and those that come in contact with them to be compelled unto Christ. As a ministering arm of the church, teams identify and implement needed services that will meet physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the community. Sponsored events are scheduled to teach life skills and provide training for economic empowerment, physical health and spiritual growth.

BUSINESS NETWORK (BN) - BN's purpose is to develop and empower the business of those who join us by providing them with information that will help them grow, and strengthen the weak areas in their lives. This is the ideal "pool of knowledge" for those who are trying to start a business and want to take the proper avenues. Entrepreneurs are available to impart information regarding taxes, accounting, business plans, marketing strategies, investments, and credit  and debt management.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY (age 1-12) - The Children's Ministry exists to provide a spiritual support for the Godly education and counsel of the children at the Scripture Cathedral. While it is designed to become progressively more evangelistic in scope, in the years to come, the Children's Church is primarilyy designed to service, train and inspire the children of the adults in the congregation. Our vision is to do so in a dynamic and creative fashion that will distinguish the Scripture Cathedral as providing one of the most excellent Children's Church experiences on the planet. We believe that such a program will not only benefit the many families that currently attend Children's Church, but will also better service the 5,000 plus children (ages 1-12) that are in the greater congregation.

COUNSELING MINISTRY - The function and purpose of the Counseling Center is to walk with you every step of the way as you seek spiritual and emotional wholeness. We have professional Christian Counselors who integrate biblical truths with sound clinical procedures. The following support groups meet throughout the year: Abortion, Abuse, Anger, Boundaries, Co-Dependency, Divorce, Grief Support, Marital Enrichnment, Search for Significance, and Transformation (alcohol & substance abuse).

NEW MEMBERS RELATIONS/BAPTISMAL COMMITEE - To nurture, embrace, and welcome the new members; to provide effective, professional, quality informantion and resources to the new members; to make a lasting, positive impression on the new member to signify the heart of our Bishop and First Lady's love and pastoral care and to assist the new member in becoming "planted" into the mainstream of our church body is the function of New Members Relations.

SINGLE'S MINISTRY (ages 18-35) - Patient, Holy, Anointed, Single, Entirely - Our mission is to effectively educate, motivate and stimulate today's single body of believers to further know the Lord Jesus Christ and experience His everlasting love, wholeness, liberty and divine purpose in this life.

CATHEDRAL BIBLE INSTITUTE - Our classess are intended to offer personal enrichment with a hands-on practical application of classroom instruction. Our classes meet Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. in 10 ten-week terms a year. We presently offer classes in the following topical areas: Bible Study, Doctrine and Theology; Foundations of Christ Life; Relationships; Leadership; Financial Freedom; Health and Fitness; Jesus Is Coming, Rightly Divding the Word Truth and the Book of Acts. Our Mission is to develop a disciple's character in knowledge and understanding of Godly life principles through applied teaching for the betterment of their community, family and personal life, that God's kingdom be established on Earth.

PRISON MINISTRY - Establishing a holistic prison ministry that will equip and empower confines, former offenders and their families to be productive in their respective community, and be a role model for local churches and prison ministries for the 21st century is the purpose of this ministry.

SECURITY  - Security is responsible for providing a safe and tranquil environment in which to worship. This staff of workers is strategically placed throughout the facility as "watchmen of the wall" to guard and maintain order.

SOUND/AUDIO MINISTRY - This ministry provides the church with technical support, for all events that require sound reinforcement. These events include, but are not limited to rehearsals, all Worship Serivce, concerts, remote events that require setup and operation of sound systems on and off the campus of Scripture Cathedral.

TAPE AUDIO/VIDEO DUPLICATION - This department is an extended arm of our Bishop by spreading the gospel via technology support systems through the aide of distributing audio/video products to Bookstore, Distributors, and Conferences and for the International Ministry. Our site duplication department distribute sproduct for our bookstore and other ministries within our church. Our goal is to maintain quality control, precision and distribution of our products in the Spirit of Excellence and in the same anointing from whence it was received. 

TELEVISION MINISTRY - The purpose of this ministry is to bring worship services into homes across the nation and around the world through the vechicle of television. This innovative ministry delights in knowing that the Gospel is reaching and changing the lives of many who do not have the opportunity to physically be in our worship services, but can experience the same anointing and blessing of the Lord through visual means. 

DEACON'S MINISTRY - The Deacon's Ministry provides service to the congregation, supports Bishop Long and associate pastors, support the vision of the ministry. They participate in other ministries within the church and special events or functions the church presents. They serve as armor bearers when needed.

TRAIL BLAZERS - Trail Blazers is a ministry designed to attract youth between the ages of 13 to 20. We seek out those youth that are lost, hurting and troubled. Through the Gospel and the power of God, we have been graced to saved the lost, mend the brokenhearted and  bring peace to the troubled mind. Once healing has taken place, the Word is then applied to strengthen and gird them with God's truth so they can grow in Christ. Involvement in various auxiliary ministries not only helps them discover their God given talents, but also allows them to reach other young people who need God. Ministries of the Trail Blazers department include Special Forces Choir, Hip-Hop, Drama, Miming, Youth Council, Michael's Angels, BASIC Training, Puppet Ministry, Dance, Step Team (male & female), Break Dancers, Judah's Lion, Kings Daughters, Ushers and Greeters.

DOOR KEEPERS - The function of the Door Keeper's Ministry is to provide an atmosphere of warmth and acceptance to the staff, members and guests of Scripture Cathedral by extending loving gestures of hospitality to all.
