FIRST LADY, QUEEN JOANNE
Joanne Long is a native of Virginia and a product of The Virginia Public School System. She is a graduate of the Scripture Cathedral Bible Institute, where she earned her Bachelors of Arts in Theology. Understanding her call to teach she pursued that call as and instructor at the Scripture Cathedral Child Development Center since its inception.
She has been in the ministry for over 40 years during which time she has traveled extensively throughout the United States and abroad. Her unique presentation of the gospel has enabled her to minister to men and women and as a result is a much sought after lecturer, teacher, leader, and counselor. Moreover it has been her privilege to serve at various women's retreats, marriage seminars, youth rap sessions, and more.
Elegant and graceful, full of God's wisdom, faith, compassion, and word, she is anointed and called of God to serve the ministry with tenacity to the end, never failing to do the smallest job so that the body of Christ is edified and glorified. Strong is she that labors for the Lord without complaint through each transition of life as she walks this Christian journey unwavered by Satan's numerous attempts to discredit her call.
She is the wife of Bishop C.L. Long, Pastor and founder of The Scripture Cathedral Church located in Washington, DC. Queen Joanne has served alongside her husband in the ministry as First Lady, a thriving ministry in the heart of the Nations Capital with a membership of more than 3,000.
She serves as the President of the Missionary Department and Women's International Ministry. She is the coordinator for the Church's Annual Women’s Conference and Co-laborer to the "What About the Women" Conference.
She is the proud mother of three wonderful children, Clarence D. Long, Edward F. Long, and Chantel S. Moses and the grandmother of four Robert, Promise, Jalynn, and Skylar
